Ok I got one for you. How would you explain this one to your students:
Whether the weather be fine,
Or whether the weather be not,
Whether the weather be cold,
Or whether the weather be hot,
We'll weather the weather
Whatever the weather,
Whether we like it or not!

This was in my sons' nursery rhyme book and it made me laugh so hard. Sometimes the ridiculousness of english give me the giggles.

Wow! How a single comma can completely change the meaning of a sentence it's incredible and intimidating at the same time! English native speakers must laugh so much while we make such mistakes!!! :D
The funniest example is cooperation /copulation! I also appreciate the "eaten children" ! :)
And I noticed lately that when we talk about chocolate, you don't use S either, even if it's several individual pieces of chocolate in a box... Another great video, THANKS ! :)

Thanks always for helping me VS thanks anyway were my favorite two sentences. It's crucial to know how to thank someone correctly when it comes to showing your appreciation for the help you received.

All of your examples are really wonderful ! Unfortunately, not everyone pays attention on these tiny details so sometimes he speaks/ writes ridiculous things. I can give an example about desert and desserts. I've seen in a lot of cafe/ restaurant menus they are selling deserts (maybe parts of Sahara 😃) instead of desserts.

Hi, Drew. I like the first example, which seems to be difficult for Japanese EFL learners to understand. Lots of Japanese people have a tendency to make the same kind of mistake about this. One example goes like this, “What animal do you like best? “ “I like dog the best.” Based on my experience as an advanced EFL learner, even many of Japanese teachers of English at junior and senior high schools In Japan are not be able to tell what “I like dog the best.” means. 🙁

The funny part is that, as you said, "co-operation" means "operating together", then the population is definitely a form of cooperation.
This is not surprising, since "copulation" comes from Latin copulate which means "join or tie together"

Your videos are always surprising and useful, it's a pity that these aren't as frequent as I would like it, however thanks a lot.

Hi Teacher, I have a question, it's about the second expression, "Thanks anyway for helping me", it is just like ironic or can I use it when someone try to help me but he or she can't really do it. Thanks
