Idea: Do the one-line-challange again, but when you hit the train cap just build a second line that has the exact same route as the old line

Imagine a world where metro stations pop up randomly over the city and people wait there for ages in hopes some godlike entity will see fit to connect the station to a line.

In the level Osaka, not Kyoto, you can put bullet trains instead of normal trains in your lines, so it would be cool if you could check that out.

A cool way to make this game more challenging is trying to go for achievements. Maybe you can try that at some point. Love the videos, keep it up!

I love when he says "Hello, fellow engineers!" bc it makes me feel like a real engineer

I love this as a train guy. This reminds me a lot of the Glasgow Metro. It's just a big loop line. I like seeing what normies...uh, I mean non-trainspotters, do when they play metro games. Loop lines are a common strategy for cities that have spoke-hub lines.
Systems like the Moscow Metro have most of their lines head to the city center and they intersect a lot, which is nice if you want to head to the center. But if you're in an outer area, it can be difficult to get to a different outer area without heading to the center. This is where loop lines come in handy. You don't have to go all the way in, just transfer to the loop line.

Cutting the loop might help. Also, as others have said you could modify the challenge to be "multiple lines, but same route". Its fine if you don't have enough bridges, the lines don't all have to traverse the whole length of the "main" line. You can also try a massive single "loop" made of multiple lines that never overlap.

Now that Motorway Matt is doing loop routes, I can’t believe he didn’t make one look like a knob. It’s the strongest shape Matt.

In Australia (including Melbourne) trains and train lines are mostly above ground. So bridges (eg Sydney Harbour Bridge) are used instead of tunnels when crossing rivers.

Can just take a second to appreciate he put his sponsor at the end of the video to not disrupt the flow of his content 🙌

Guys, don't believe him, he made Paddy get the new high score in Budapest

4:40 right here is where I, a 20yo Berlin citizen, figured out that those are actually the correctly coloured Metro Lines (U1 is lime, U2 red, U3 dark green, U4 yellow etc) and i‘m about to get this game rn. Very Convinced that the developers put a lot of thought into this. This is amazing.

Yes. The ideal line visits different station types between each station as much as possible and any line that has an end where the train doubles back on itself visits the same station type immediately after one possibly different station at each end. As in if you end with a circle and before the end is a triangle, the train visits triangle-circle-triangle. Also if you put two of the same shape in a row at the end say two circles, the train visits circle-circle-circle whereas connecting those two circles together in a loop remains just two circles visited in a row not three.

so proud of you for getting quality sponsorships. I love your personality. Can't wait for you to finish infra, but you can do anything and it's entertaining.

I looked this game up and started playing it after watching you. I cannot believe how addictive it is. Every time I don't hit my goal, it just makes me want to try again and again until hours disappear.

The trains sometimes stop at a station because they're waiting for the train ahead to move and leave some space between them.

@motorway Matt One can delete whole lines by hovering over the desired line at the bottom and clicking the x that appears. Love your content!

When I was playing this, I think squares were the rarest of the regular shapes. It's been a while, but it would appear that circles are the most frequent.

Can’t you just overlap the existing line with a new one? Making you able to use more locomotives

I think you can go to a station multiple times? Could be useful to make a figure 8/infinity loop, like sharing the middle square so the squares don’t have to go as far around the loop.
