Well said my friend, cables are very important. We have been doing A/B comparisons and wow, it's amazing what different there is between different types of cables. I too see lots of amazing rigs with cheap cables, it's like buying a high end car and feeding it cheap gas, well it will not perform. .

Haha, it shows that you lived in the US, in British English the 'l' in solder is actually not silent.
And I even heard some american demo people mention that it's wrong to pronounce it like 'sodder'...

The most expensive cables I ever bought are two Sommer cables with HiCon plugs, just a little below the price of what you show here.
I just want to try it out ...and honestly, in 2-3 years I couldn't notice much difference to the Thomann ProSnake patch cables for €2.50...
Maybe if I had bought 10 of each at the same time, more of the cheap ones would be defective by now, but who knows.

I love screw in solderless cables.

I have mainly used Lava Tightrope (same concept as these)
But as a UK resident it's now A LOT easier to buy Evidence audio.

These are essential for big pedal switcher boards

But what do you think about using adapters for connecting pedals? Some thing like _Planet Waves 1/4 Inck Male Mono Inline Adapter_ or similar staff instead of using(soldering) patch cables.

Moin,
mit Hilfe der Tips aus deinen Vids hab ich nun mein erstes Pedalboard fast fertig. Momentan im Testlauf mit den günstigen bunten ein oder andere Effektgerät fliegt wieder raus, dafür kommt anderes neu rein. Die Midiarie mit FXL8 Pro und GLab4xLoop funktioniert schon perfekt. Wenn dann alle Effekte ihren Platz auf dem Board gefunden haben, kommen definitiv die Evidence Audio zum Einsatz.

Nun stellt sich mir die Frage nach einer ebenso hochwertigen Verbindung zwischen Board und Amp!

In meinem Fall: 4 x Klinke Klinke für Amp in, Send, Return und eins in Reserve für ein evtl. später zu realisierendes Stereo Setup. Zudem schalte ich meinen Amp per Midi über einen Mini Amp Gizmo, so das zusätzlich ein Midikabel vom Board zum Amp geht (Gizmo wird im Bereich des Amps installiert.
Mir schwebt eine Art Multicore vor, so das wenn möglich nur eine Strippe verlegt werden muss. Die Enden auf der Ampseite müssen in unterschiedlichen Längen ausgeführt werden. Auf der Bordseite werde ich wahrscheinlich eine Patchbox von Amp/fx verwenden.

Wäre schön, wenn du dazu ein paar Tips/Ideen mit uns teilen würdest :)

Thanks for the video man, I was actually just thinking today, I built my own pedalboard with a lot of high end pedals, like Strymon, Eventide, TC, and MXR stuff, spent a LOT of money on the pedals, but there's this freaking annoying buzz, so today I thought: time for new patchcables, but not sure which ones to get so :P
