You covered a crucial point that I couldn't find in other videos of increasing the subdivisions while creating the rectangle. Thanks!

wait this displacement is actually incredible

Thank you for a useful lesson! I would like to see a lesson on how to competently make a realistic landscape with a high-quality texture of earth with dirt with displacement. Usually in lessons they create a landscape and throw a grass texture on it, but it looks ugly, blurry and flat, probably because the landscape is too big for such textures. Perhaps it is better to create small highly polygonal rectangles and already throw textures on them so that they look detailed and unstretched. I'm sorry for my English, I hope I was able to convey the essence of the question)

Hey! Thank you so much for sharing this! I've got a question... Is there a way to tile the displacement map?

Current state is quite GPU wasteful too until they support channel packed maps like in modelling tools and more cumbersome to mess with separate maps. Maybe 5.3 solves this issue, don't know.

Thanks for the tutorial. It's the clearest one. One question: in a BlendMaterial... is it possible to do displacement?

As far as I can see, its again baking the displacement into the mesh. So you can still have no displaced material (like a ongoing tiled wall) so its pretty useless

Amazing video sir but can't we apply displacement in landscape in ue 5.2, Ue 5.3 has displacement landscapes but is there anyway we can do it in 5.2

Brilliant! But!... It works on a plane... But, why doesn't it work when I apply it to other shapes like a cube or even a static mesh I've created with CubeGrid?

Wait this wasn't possible in previous version of UE5?

this doesnt really help for complicated materials that are say vertex painted to have broken walls with bricks underneath...Or animated scrolling tesselation for living objects/ flowing water effects.
