My granddaughter is an EMT and fire fighter one. She is now beginning her paramedic training. I am extremely proud of her. I taught at a college and I know that it’s not for everyone. Some people go through it and will never use anything to which they were exposed.

I quit at the start of the 2nd semester when I realized they were injecting their own social commentary instead of knowledge. I then got certifications that cost me less than 1k

So right, one of our neighborhood kids started a landscaping business when he was in high school. He's 30 years old now and worth millions.

How do you get employers to receive this message? It’s one thing for me to believe this and a complete other idea for my employer to be more open to non-college graduates…

The message really has been a University degree. Many people do well in a community college's programs to get the training/experience they need to succeed.

Im making 20k more than the people who didnt go to college. Its a start. Other people make 30k more than me. College is pretty much the way to a successful career. Masters is pretty much mandatory now. Student loans are absurd. Have to cap it at a certian amount. College is a MUST today

Not the only way but the best way if you get a STEM(science, engineering) degree.

College can and in most young adults does ruin your life financially with student loan and tuition costing more for the degree than you could ever make in that job. Not worth it.

College isn’t the only way, but try having this conversation with someone applying for jobs and constantly being passed for people with degrees. 🤷🏽‍♂️

If my kids cleaned the streets or public toilets for a living, , as long as they did the job to their best of their ability I would be very proud, , not everyone is academic, , people are worthy and valued no matter what they earn
