This wont work, there is a sensor on the front that knows if its covered. you can open up the TV and cut the wire that goes to the backlight for the lower screen, we already did that for ours and it makes the bottom screen invisible. They cant detect if the backlight is off. TV still works perfectly fine too.

It has many different sensors. So nah. Remember you need to be sensed infront of the tv from time to time. The ambient speaker will inform them. I believe they soon ramp up their stuff and start checking customers more. I llike mine anyway.

I have a Telly and love it. My own personal experience, the ads are pretty much non intrusive as the focus is on the main screen. It’s still a fairly new platform and ads are at least for me not playing 24/7. Majority of time, the ad screen displays the Red Telly Logo. I appreciate sports scores, weather, time and news feeds which serves as a quick current events update. The soundbar gives great sound when watching movies. It comes down to personal preference. For price of free, it’s a fair trade off.

You need to be able to see the widget side of the smart screen to see the input selection and games etc. But if you are just watching a movie/show the temp cover is OK. Also, if it's hung from a wall it's not as easy however I'm sure something like chip clips would work well.

Except most of the TV's UI is on the second screen. Its not like the ads are all that intrusive. Usually i wouldn't stand up for corpos but at least in this case they made it less... Less like you'd expect a modern corpo to act

The issue (for me at least) isn't the ads, it's the camera staring at me 24/7

Or you could just use the bottom screen as its intended purpose.

Why would you cover the other screens? Part of the allure of the TV (Beside being Freaking Free) is the smaller screen on the bottom, most of it being fully customizable. The ads are there for a reason. If they catch you, you can be charged up too $1k. I grew up when your word alone was worth Something. People were actually insulted if you called them a lier, thief, or cheat, yet now People Don't care. Crack someones skull while losing a foot race, then go on tv & cry that Most People call you out, but then cry & say Nobody cares about her feelings... Steal Gov. loans then post a video of how to, then make another video when caught, and The idiot is Mad... Or the idiots agreeing to a Free Tv, but complaing about ads, and making a Video on how to defeat the ads.... Wonder how long it takes them to figure out who's name that TV is, and charges you full price, and possible more. If they feel the video harms there Revenue for the ads, then Prepare for court.... As They Should! When you see other people getting away with something, Doesn't mean it is ok. Yes I would judge you on this, even though you might think it's petty, it shows me you would (more then likely) have no issues doing this crap to other People. Your word is Null and Void.... I Miss the America I Grew Up In!
