101 SharePoint Usability Tips - # 10 No Chrome

Not referring to Google Chrome, SharePoint's chrome is referring to the edit options surrounding a web-part. When considering your public (or possibly even internal) SharePoint sites it is usually best to turn off chrome and hide the ribbon. This removes additional options users are not likely to ever use (or understand). If there is no real purpose for users to see the chrome, these options will only confuse users.
