As a physics professor myself who has done some research research in this topic, I would say that all of this checks out. My only question about the quantum tunneling communication is selectivity: how could anyone tune out the desired signal from all the noise? Which direction to "point" the receiver, or which "channel" to tune into, to get the particular caller you want to talk to?
