I had that ability with my father. I always smelled an unpleasant odor from my father when he was heading into a heart attack. This saved his life a number of times.

I had skin can and one of my dogs kept sniffing the spot until I got it checked. 2 surgeries later I am fine. She is a blessing.

Old retired nurse here. 👵🏻 i smell Drs in ICU used to tease me, "any weird smells in but after i gave them morning report on a heart attack patient one morning, i added,
"Once u get his heart better test him for cancer, i SMELL it."
got the "side eye".
A Dr from So Africa asked me, "do u know WHERE it is?"
I told them, "its in his lungs or his stomach, he's exhaling the he had stomach cancer and the African Dr kept a close check on his patient's lungs also for yrs after

I have an Exhusband who I am still friends with. One time he came in to visit and I was absolutely shocked by his smell.
My now husband did not smell anything, but my cats obviously as well as they normally like him and love to get a lot of pets. This one time they did avoid him.
When he was later leaving I told him to let his blood check as, I thought something is wrong with him. He laughed.
8 weeks later he needed to go to the emergancy clinic - he had a Gallbladder problem and looking at this, they also recognized he has severe diabetes.
The doctors later asked him if anyone hd ever said something about he was smelling.
He told them I had. They said he should have listened to me.
We are joking about this now, as me being a diabetes sniff "cat" .

Can you imagine how dogs feel? They have the ability to smell 1, 000 to 10, 000 times more then humans.

Yes, . My husbands breath had a faint odor of old cinnamon, i only realized that it was related to a tumor when the odor ( which was faint and slightly pleasant ) disappeared when the small tumor was excised....about a year later the odor returned...he had a second tumor ...which was also removed, odor disappeared never to return, nor any new tumors...

I don’t smell things on people, they have a different look to them that I can see and no one else can. I would not describe it as an aura because it’s not radiating out of them. I’m a nurse and I walk past non patients that I know and will do a double take and tell them. Several times it’s been blood sugar issues in diabetics, another time it was a post surgical complication (they thanked me for saving their lives afterwards) and another was advancing heart disease they didn’t know they had. I just see their skin and color looking different than anyone else sees them. It has also been helpful in preventing major issues with my patients in rhe ER and ICU. As far as smelling- I can tell when someone is coming down with a cold/respiratory virus. I smell that on their exhale and have since I was child.

Yes, people who are sick sometimes emit strange odors.

This woman should be Praised for her ability to smell the onset of an illness. She should be allowed in hospitals to smell patients, possibly quickening a diagnosis!!!
Maybe she’s a GOD SENT!!

My husband had Parkinsons too. I thought that odd unpleasant smell was a result of his medications. Even after a shower it was soon back. I never mentioned it to anyone. He would have been embarrassed.

My daughter pointed out my urine had a strange smell. I didn't smell anything different and had a large supply of insulin. Next check; blood sugar through the roof....my insulin had spoiled. So glad she noticed.

One reason I don't fully support telehealth is the lack of sensing smell
One medical incident was about an elderly patient smelling bad. When the visiting nurse checked under the ladie's shower cap, which she always wore, there were maggots in her scalp.
When I was young I could smell it when our cat had worms

Most likely why our pets know what they know. Mine always sniffs me and snuggles me more when I’m not feeling well. Our creator gave us so much we are so intricately and wonderfully made.
