Let's Dance (Lyrics)

(One, two)
(One, two, three)

Hey baby won't you take a chance?
Say that you'll let me have this dance

Well, let's dance, well, let's dance
We'll do the twist, the stomp, the mashed potato too
Any old dance that you wanna do
But let's dance, well let's dance

Hey, baby, yeah, you thrill me so
Hold me tight, don't you let me go

But let's dance, well let's dance
We'll do the twist, the stomp, the mashed potato too
Any old dance that you wanna do
But let's dance, well let's dance

Ok, wail now, oh, yeah

Hey, baby, if you're all alone
Maybe you'll let me walk you home

But let's dance, well let's dance
We'll do the twist, the stomp, the mashed potato too
Any old dance that you wanna do
But let's dance, well let's dance

Hey, baby, things are swingin' right
Yes, I know that this is the night

Well, let's dance, well, let's dance
We'll do the twist, the stomp, the mashed potato too
Any old dance that you wanna do
But let's dance, well let's dance

But let's dance
But let's dance
But let's dance

I was so lucky to have been a teenager in the early 60's. Happy happy memories. Thanks for posting.

Trim guys & gals no tats, no fillers, no mobiles, few drugs. Just great, simple fun times.

I miss those days, when everybody would just dance. No rules or criticism. Just dancing 🎶. Dance, dance, dance. 👍

Ezekiel Christopher Montañez is his real name, the record company wanted it shorter so Chris asked his mother and she approved the change. I saw him in concert with other 60's artists, at half time he went to the foyer to meet people and sign autographs. A true gent.

How lucky we are to have Mamie Van Doren still alive at age 92 today on 3/2/23. She has enjoyed her beauty even into her later years and being famous has to be wonderful. YOUR FANS LOVE YOU MAMIE ! P.S. The cashier at my local grocery store was named after you !

I wasn't born until 1967, but I grew up listening to 60 s music and learning the dances, and I've a 60 s party to go to next week, so looking forward to a fun filled night of dancing, 😊

Soon as the pounding of the drums starts off, I feel 12 again and I start to shimmy. 😅 Way more fun than a boring aerobics class.

Awesome, the 60's were no bloody joke!!!! Defintely however it "takes two" to "twist and shout" like this, fifty years later, as I sit alone on my rock I know I am "daydream believing" as a happy and wise Monkee always will

Love the guy toward the end who looks like a blend of Abraham Lincoln and Lurch!

When Chris Montez toured England, where "Let's Dance" was a massive hit, his opening act was this band called The Beatles. They liked the collarless jacket he wore on stage so much that they had their tailor copy it.

The musics, the clothes, the dances, the romance, the whole thing was much better. Everything from that era became a classic, and inspired a masterpiece of cinema, full of future stars: (Harrison Ford, Richard Dreyffus, Ron Howard)"American Graffiti"... "As I walk alone I wonder, what went wrong with our love, a love that was so strong..." Del Shannon. Thank God I came to live, at least, the end of this era.
