NYPD released new photos of the suspect who fatally shot the UnitedHealthcare CEO in midtown Manhattan. Brian Thompson led one of the biggest health insurers in the U.S. Chief of Detectives Joseph Kenny said investigators were looking at Thompson’s social media accounts and interviewing family members. He said Thompson walked out of the hotel by himself.“Didn’t seem like he had any issues at all,” Kenny said. “He did not have a security detail.”

$18 per hour for employees, 23.5 million a year for a ceo...

What really is disgusting is the fact that the media is making such a big deal about this man's death. But what about those people who had this insurance and their claims were denied and they died. There's no media outrage for that happening. I'm not happy that this man was killed because that's terrible. But unfortunately this man was profiting off of illness and death. And apparently somebody had enough.

Why is a health insurance company in the top 10 of most profitable companies? Thats the real crime here.

With all due respect, people are sick of getting screwed over by insurance companies .

instead of the suspect, authorities should be looking for a healthcare system that isn't exploitative

He wasn't a friend to the people he insured, that's for sure. UHC has the highest claim rejection rate of any health insurer in the US. I hope they never find the guy.

Damn there is no sympathy for the CEO that should say something. I find it very surprising how a rich guy gets shot in new york yet when a homeless or poor person get shot it gets blown off

Let's be honest, the comments reflect where our sympathies lie. And it's not with "Brian".

The man who killed him will have a tragic story of someone being denied medical coverage. We the people have had enough!!!

A ceo of Insurance company who is "factually" a criminal is killed "actually" by a criminal. So all nullifies out.

Brian's $25M/yr salary couldn't save him.

The "victim" made $23.5 million dollars in 2023. I wonder how many peoples insurance didn't pay their medical expenses. At least he has the money for a really nice funeral.

Extreme greed. No compassion. The cruelty of being capable of easing suffering but only thinking of money and more money.

Love how the media like this guy had a famlly. While the people who were denied their coverage for pre-existing conditions have families too.

I guess United Health Care doesn’t cover everything

My guess is this guy has a family member or a close friend who was denied coverage that they should have gotten and passed away as a result.
