Infosys became a $100 billion company because of Sudha Murthy’s ₹10,000.

Sudha Murthy from Karnataka has always been brilliant in her studies since childhood. But her problems began when she started college.

Sudha Murthy was pursuing engineering in college, but she was the only girl among 600 students studying engineering.

All the boys would tell her that a girl’s place is in the kitchen, but she never listened to anyone.

In 1974, she even wrote a letter to J.R.D Tata because she saw a job offer from Tata Motors where women were not allowed to apply.

As a result, Tata changed their policy, and Sudha Murthy became the first female engineer employee at Tata Motors.

To start Infosys, she gave Narayana Murthy ₹10,000 from her savings, and with this help, Infosys is now a $100 billion company.

Sudha Murthy is now the chairperson of Infosys Foundation, and she has been awarded the Padma Shri and Padma Bhushan for her contributions.
