Comparing love to an ocean is the best way I could ever describe it. It is salty and it burns, but it is beautiful. When you are in the ocean if you stay still and don't fight the current you float, but if you rush you go under, your eyes sting, and you step out of the water. *snapping*

This poem has raised me. Heard it for the first time at 18, and every year I've had experiences that has led me exactly back to this point - I have always been the place.

Women deserve to realise that we aren't only a body that has to be looked at and not the only thing a person can explore is our bodies. Explore our mind, our facial features, our personality traits. A compliment on a rare quality is more special than a comment on how our body looks in a dress that we are wearing.

This poem means so much to me, and one line in particular stuck out to me, "You are not made of metaphors." I finally decided to get it tattooed on my arm and I am so much happier to have these powerful words on my body. Thank you Sarah.
