Smashing into 2018, Ride follow the surprise of "Pulsar" at the end of last year with another brand new song and details of the forthcoming EP they are both featured on - Tomorrow's Shore.

The Tomorrow's Shore EP was recorded with Erol Alkan, the legendary DJ, producer and remixer who produced the band's latest album, Weather Diaries.

Said Andy Bell of this new song and the EP...

" “Catch You Dreaming” is written from the perspective of being one of the last two people alive, watching as the Universe is ending. The protagonist looks back over the time when humanity existed, realising that we as humans brought about our own inevitable demise. Then the couple look back over their own lives of shared memories and as they are sharing this moment, everything vaporises. It’s a love song about fate, nostalgia, and having no regrets.

" The song itself was intended to be a part of “Weather Diaries”, and recording started during the sessions in Autumn 2016. But we never managed to record a definitive version at the time and decided to come back to it later as part of a follow up EP, which is now finished, and titled “Tomorrow’s Shore”. The EP was made with an identical process to “Weather Diaries” and we see it as very much tied to the album. "

When I first listened to this song — 2 years ago, Driving around on a cool evening with the windows down, the air balmy after a hot, humid day. Even rushing past me faster than I could run, everything is still so calm. We can never find these quiet moments unless we look for them.

People need to stop whining about bands not sounding how they used to. Just because you got a hand-job while listening to vapor trail in the back of your dad's Honda doesn't mean they have to stay that way forever.

I knew some really depressed people who only listened to heavy metal and black metal and became totally different people after I've shown them this band

Saw them play this live in Oxford in May - initially thought it wasn't working live - after another couple of minutes, I didn't want it to end. Sign of a great band - come back after 20+ years, evolve, and bless us all with something as different and gorgeous as this.

Great song, my favourite song by ride, so happy was introduced to this amazing music first time been able to listen to it in months cause reminds me of an ex who got me into ride but thankful she got me into them .
