Notably, Palanivel Thiaga Rajan, previously known as PTR and highly regarded as an accomplished Finance Minister, has been removed from his position and given the responsibility of Information Technology and Digital Services.

PTR is grabbing to much attention, which is very bad for his family politics, he is afraid his son cannot become next CM and his family may loose popularity, this is exactly what Congress Gandhi parivar does, they take very far sighted decisions to protect family power, PTR's forte and expertise was in Finance if he continued in finance he may revolutionize finance and may even become PM of India

Even though the shuffle is unnecessary, all is not lost. Thennarusu is very much able and is respected by many. I had seen the video where he gave his speech in Dubai and was very much impressed. PTR's portfolio of IT is still good for Tamil Nadu. He is very much knowledgeable and experienced in that field. PTR is a straight forward man. He does need Politics to survive or make money (including in illicit way). He can go out any time, get a job and earn exponentially. Personally also he has great wealth. He himself said that they did not know what they own. I read that one of the complaints that senior leaders gave was regarding allocation of funds. PTR is not going to allow corruption and scandals (in an unjustifiable way. I am sure he understands the unavoidable things) outright. No one likes a straight forward person, particularly in Indian situation. Even now, PTR could have refused any Ministerial post but, it would have created a big commotion in the party which would have affected TN very much. Don't forget PTR is a powerful man Globally It simply shows how magnanimous he is and cares about TN and its people. I am sure there would have been lot of discussions before the decision and announcement were made.
