One of the best benefits of FBM is that used inventory doesn't go back in stock in the return process. Literally the most awful negative reviews we have had are because warehouse Billy sends a customer a heavily used returned product. Amazon takes no responsibility for this and will also not remove the reviews. Amazon can and will tarnish your brand as they are not a reliable "partner."

Great video! We have been using FBM since the pandemic began. We switched from FBA for all of the reasons that you mention. One other reason we switched to FBM is because we were paying shipping on both ends of the shipment - shipment to the FBA center and then shipment to the customer. Amazon dictates the FC you ship to, and how many units that you ship to each FC. It just didn't make financial sense to continue to use FBA in our case. Further, our product was not prioritized on FBA during the pandemic and by using FBM, we were able to continue shipping without interruption. Thanks for the balanced video. Great stuff!

What about changing from selling used books (usually only 1 unit of each book) FBA to FBM, including already existing FBA inventory? I'm sick of Amazon losing so many of my books and never giving any explanation or accountability.

The problem with FBA is that they offer free returns always. That cost a lot of money to the seller.
FBM must accept returns but not necessarily free? the customer pay for the return.
any feedback? is this correct?

I started out with FBA. Then the 4th quarter hit. OMG the FEES the FEES. It's insane.
Now doing both. Like you said for small items I do FBA and if I have competitions.
I do FBM for heavy items and if I don't have competition.

Im selling an item that is 2“ x 2“ and weighs half an ounce and I am charging six dollars and after all the fees I only make $.35 if I switch to FBM will I have to pay for shipping and where would I buy my shipping label from?
