I have known Tim and Illyssa since our Syracuse days. Tim has always been an incredible role model, the true definition of a Renaissance man, one of the smartest and classiest men I've ever known, a dedicated husband and family man with a heart of gold. My heart breaks that he is facing this fight against ALS but if anyone can make strides in battling and finding a cure and truly beating this, it is Tim. His story should inspire us all so please support him in any way you can.

Very sad, I lost my Mom to ALS last year and ALS is a nasty disease. Hearing Tim talk reminds me of my mother trying to talk a few years ago. Prayers sent.

I just watched this and I must admit (myself dealing with stage 4 cancer) that you look at how much good there has been in your life, rarely bitter, the bad falls away and you push forward because you do not want to leave the people you love so very much. No comparing; Tim's had such a noteworthy life. I suppose mine feels as grand, though I don't have near the accomplishments Mr. Green has had. I wish him the very best going forward. It was good for me to see this strong man, which makes me realize positivity keeps pushing us forward as we deal with illness which changes our normal with the intent of ending our lives. I see so much of this with this good man. I wish his family strength, the majority of us do not do this alone.

I remember watching Tim Green wrestle when he was a senior at Liverpool High School. He would pin his opponents in a matter of seconds. As a defensive lineman at Syracuse University, he dominated the field. He has always optimized the image of a scholar athlete. I am heart broken to see him in this condition. His courage and humility in fighting ALS does not surprise me at all. He is a warrior, and it is not in his character to give up or feel sorry for himself. He continues to inspire, and he always will.

I too have ALS. I was diagnosed in 2014. God has blessed me with five good years. Tim has expressed exactly how I feel. Don’t waste today on worrying about tomorrow and that goes for everybody. Let tomorrow worry about itself. Thank you for being our voice! Please give the ALS research so we can slow down or stop this terrible disease.

Just saw this, it made me cry and inspired me. I read his first book " The Dark Side of the Game" many years ago and still mention parts of it when talking football around the water cooler or local pub. Bless him and his family, tackle ALS.

Tim green is such a great writer. He wrote a book a bout a child who was deaf and the book was built on a true story. If your wondering what the book was, it's called "Left Out"

I could only dream of having that kind of courage, a real man, with a big heart. It's these types of people I could only aspire to be, and his family will forever remember how their father's behavior in his final days, and its that lasting impact on his kids that will make them true and genuine people, that is for certain. The difference and impact in life always comes from your parents, what a motivating and impact message Tim Greene has served for his family, no doubt.
