They're running business not donation. If the world is oversupplied with oil and gas, according to their data, then it's logical for them to cut production. The oil and gas in Western world just become more expensive not because of low supply but because the gas and oil that run through the pipe that are owned by Russia was declined by them. So now they have to buy from other countries, and carrying them through tanker ship of course would cost them much much more than a pipe.
