How to use 'you know' - chunks - informal conversation in English

In informal spoken English, there are a lot of common patterns of two or more words. For example:

‘…you know…’
‘…or something…’
‘…the thing is…’

We call these chunks.

Some of these may not work in formal writing, but native speakers use them a lot in informal, social English. Using them in conversations can help you sound more fluent. Can you hear the chunks in these real conversations?

Seriously Cambridge? If a student has the level to follow 1. the explanation 2. the native speakers dialogues, the topic of the video becomes totally irrelevant (B1 or above don't need an explanation of "the thing is", "or something" as fillers...). Maybe Cambridge could start hiring content developers who are either REAL English teachers (not just linguists out of touch with the classroom) or NON NATIVE English teachers, who are more aware of learning key issues.... I can imagine them "oh, how fun, let's make a video on Chunks! it sounds good!". By the way, the music is nice :) :P
