Hey Ella! I use this template also and when you input your expenses in the tracker all the totals add up and all your graphs will update automatically! It's so helpful and nice to look at all in one place. Hope that helps ☺

Hi Ella, I have set up a BPAY transfer each month for our quarterly bills (rates, water & gas) so when the bill comes in it’s already paid - this works a treat!! I have started using Every Dollar and I have created an Excel spreadsheet to track our savings (similar to your previous system). I really enjoy your channel and good luck with the new job. Ooo that template is nice!! I feel the same way about Christmas saving. I built my annual budget with Christmas savings starting in September. It’s not the same every month, but I’ll just shift a little of the extra student loan payments I’m making toward the beginning of the year. Maybe that will work for you, too!

Could you do an actually video more explaining how you use the money between your accounts? For example, if you were out at dinner do you just transfer the money into your card account etc. and how do you manage things like hair, nails etc does that come out of your spending money account? 😊

Hey Ella, what a small world. I also have this budget tracker and have been using it since August & I love it - I note you were a bit unsure that the totals at the top of the sheet didn't seem to be showing correct updated figures when you'd plugged in all your budgeted expenses & I can confirm, it does have a bit of a lag with updating totals. I think the lag is likely due to it being quite a big doc & also being Google sheets rather than Excel. I also find that if I update my 'budgeted' cells sometimes in throughout the month, it will take a bit for the 'actual' columns figure to show the updated info - I often just get on with my next task in the sheet and then you'll go back and it's sorted itself out - gosh, long message, but wanted to just pass that on.

we rent in the NT and we dont pay for the water, our landlord does. i definitely don't budget like you but i do put $400 away each month into a savings account no matter what i earn. i have a very variable income as i work casually in retail and i do photography.

hey, lovely I love this budget with me 😍 just thought I should mention it looks like you didn't allocate all your left overs after expenses, if you look at the budget column on your overview you've over 6k left. It shows as -5k in the last column because you already inputted the rollover in your actual so that money hasn't been allocated. Good luck with the new job xx
