The amount of dog training myths and misinformation floating around online is overwhelming. Listen as Koru K9 co-owners, Ray & Bridget, chat with Washington based trainer, Ashley Nunez, about some of the most common ones. Topics include:

1. Socialization - what it is, and what it isn't. And why so many organizations recommend dog owners do the WRONG thing to socialize their dog.

2. Dog Parks - why we recommend you avoid them at all costs.

3. Dog Body Language - think that wagging tail is a happy dog? Or that dog showing its belly just wants belly rubs? Think again?

4. "My dog was abused and now hates {insert hated object here}" Sorry to tell you - that most likely is not the case.

5. Resource Guarding - why common advice is a sure fire way to create resource guarding issues in your dog.

And so much more!

I am struggling with telling people not to pet my dog when I have her out in public. She is so adorable but extremely reactionary and more times then not, even when I say NO they do it anyway. How can I make them know how important it is in her training without sounding rude?

You gave a lot of specifics on what not to do or how dogs don’t think. How about talking about how they DO think, what specific attitudes from owners are helpful?
