Why Supersolid Light is Underrated

Why did no one care when scientists turned light into a supersolid?

This should have been the biggest story this year. Cuz suddenly a bunch of impossible sci-fi tech just became possible. I'm specifically super psyched about 3 technologies. The last one's definitely the most underrated.

(3) Starting with the obvious, weaponry. I grew up seeing lightsabers in Star Wars and energy swords in Halo. The only reason this isn't higher is I have a feeling this will do more harm than good.

At (2) we have advanced holographic interfaces. Just like in Star Trek. Just like the holodeck in Star Trek. Imagine being able to create three-dimensional interfaces without traditional materials. How much less waste would there be?

(1) Now for the most underrated, we have some quantum computing enhancements. Realistically, super-solid light could lead to more stable qubits. And that is a requirement for a quantum processor that can one day simulate the universe.

One great thing about quantum computing is that you're not limited to 0's and 1's, but also can use many states in between.
