The Dickey Center at Dartmouth presents:
An Unbreakable Bond? The Future of the US-Israel Relationship
A panel discussion with: Steven Simon, Ambassador Alfred Moses ’51, David Makovsky Moderated by: Daniel Benjamin

Strong US support for Israel has been a given in US foreign policy for decades. Yet the failure of Secretary Kerry's Peace Initiative, the continued establishment of new settlements in Palestinian territories and frequent Israeli criticism of Washington’s approach to Iran have all led to a deep chill in the bilateral relationship. Are we at a tipping point?

The panel included:

Steven Simon, former White House Senior Director for the Middle East and Visiting Lecturer in Government.

Ambassador Alfred Moses ’51, former senior advisor to Presidents Carter and Clinton and former President of the American Jewish Committee.

David Makovsky, former senior advisor on Secretary Kerry’s team for Israeli-Palestinian Negotiations and Distinguished Fellow at the Washington Institute for Near East Politics.

Moderated by Daniel Benjamin, Director of the Dickey Center for International Understanding.
