I already have a discounted Parallels license so I can't get that 25% off but my Crossover looks license expired last year. At 60% off I'm highly tempted, but I'm better served with Parallels right now. I don't do much Windows gaming but do use the VM for tools and utilities that don't have MacOS versions like firmware updaters for wireless controllers or don't work in well or at all with Crossover like the AM2R updater.

Parallels is great but still think 25% off isn't enough to justify my usage since I also own a win PC. If it ran more games on steam, I would ditch my physical win pc box. Crossovers has an amazing deal but I can't get anything to run properly on my M1 Max. Just too confusing to setup games that are steam dependent.

The issue with Crossover is that this is basically an annual price. When the app is updated you’re left without support and need to purchase again. There is a suppsort for 12 months. So you in essence do not own the app but rent it. There are some other software companies that do the same I know. I do not fancy them either.

If you buy CrossOver lifetime, remember, it will stop working once Apple removes Rosetta 2 in a future. So technically it can't be lifetime, thats why most likely they will make even more sales in a future.

When you get to your video on 22.1, I just found out that with the first beta of 22.1 released today, Pinball FX3 now runs and is perfectly playable. On 22.0 it fails with Fatal error; cannot create DirectX 11 device. I wonder how many more games will now run. It's quite a job to track this.
