What a sweet and loving countenance on the face of this pontiff who proclaims such profound truths.☺️

Required reading, required discussion, and required understanding. Care must be taken to reserve the right to disagree in part, no matter how scale of that part.

Thank you for these original documents. So often we seek to comment without going back to the sources to understand the arguments in their genesis, or at least closer to it. Please continue doing this

Respect for private property is the foundation of an ethical and prosperous society. Pope Leo XIII is wise to emphasize these teachings from scripture (and Thomas Aquinas)!

A basic knowledge of sound economic science should be a requirement for all those that wish to make pronouncements on markets and capital and labor and the like. Economic ignorance is the norm now and throughout history, in the US and around the world. We’re all worse off as a result of ignorance being codified into laws that are coercively imposed by the minority on the majority.

Much like there are many Catholics in name only, so too are there a great many economists in name only: people whose knowledge of economics is only a floating mathematical abstraction detached from clear thinking about the epistemology that underlies sound thinking on the true science of economics. Economic laws are every bit as certain as any other scientific laws. In economics these laws are derived from undeniable axioms, much like geometry. To wit: the law of diminishing marginal utility is true and this can be knowing with apodictic certainty in the same way as the Pythagorean Theorem. All true economic laws are deduced from axioms. Correct deduction from true axioms necessarily produces true conclusions, by definition. What axiom underlies it all? That humans act: that humans use means to attain ends. This axiom is true and this can be seen by the fact this any attempt to deny it only confirms it as one must use scarce means (of time and mind) to attain the end of arguing.

For those of you who want to learn economics, I recommend the great short book “Choice” by Robert Murphy (he’s very skilled at explaining things in plain language). Or “Economics in One Lesson” by Henry Hazlitt. Cheers!

This sounds good. This could be good to show socialists that the Church has a proud history of defending the working class and that if they become baptized they can have a home here too.

How about inflated Spectrum price so widespread that street shanties too must go without children's food paying up for daily Mobile recharge.

Not redrum, rerum. Mors error calamitas. Mors the errors. Unwise, dangerous, knowledge sans wisdom. ❤
