On 4chan once a long time ago, there was a thread of people emailing him trying to get responses. Most were people asking about HL3, which got ignored, but I asked why he never smiles in photos, and he responded saying he was always worried about stains on his shirt. If you check, every old picture of him he's not smiling, and usually does have some sort of stain. Wild times.

My first steam dota acc was hacked because I was accepting random friend requests. I tried to contact steam support but they didn't do anything. Then I remember when the gaben mega kill announcer came out in dota. I tried to email and tell gaben that my acc was hacked and I immediately received a steam support email telling me they froze my old acc and gave me the unfreeze code. Although I lost all of my dota skins prior the IO companion cube, I was really happy when it actually worked. Man was a legit god for me that day.
