So...let us all give Yoakam credit for bringing Mr. Owens out of retirement, for this wonderful performance...and (!) for having the great Flaco Jimenez on this one.

Anybody still listening in December 2024? Whenever I hear this song, my fingers stop trying to find another song. This is a dream line up. Flaco and Pete bring it to life. Buck is one of the best performers ever. Dwight is solid gold with one of the most unique voices out there. Note to self or others that might take action - the songwriter Homer Joy needs a Wikipedia page.

That’s a lot of a talent on one stage.

This is true country. No auto tune. No ear monitors. Just a band and you.

I love Flaco playing here. My dad knew Flaco from the 40's here in San Antonio, TX. I love Dwight and Buck singing together!

As a Mexican American, it gives me goosebumps to see all the love Flaco Jimenez is getting in the comments! A true national treasure, FLACO! Congratulations on your recent 81st birthday on March 11, hope you had a great day full of love! May many more years fill your heart Flaco!

People don’t realize how close the country and norteño culture are. Banda music and country music has so much in common, and even our cultures. My family is from a small Pueblo in central Mexico in the state of Zacatecas, we have ranchers, cowboys and cowgirls, we love our cattle and horses, cowboy hats and boots, rodeos etc... I always like to find out similarities rather than differences

After Buck died every radio station in Bakersfield, regardless of style of music played this song one day at noon!! Great tribute.

Mr. Buck Owens with Dwight, Flaco and Pete Anderson, it doesn‘t get any better than that.

Buck Owens said it best when he said Dwight was the son he wished he’d had. Nuff said

These days are gone. What a tremendous performance from these great talents. I raised my baby boys on this music. And now they're good men. Thsnk you Buck and Dwight!

Although I've seen several versions of Dwight and Buck singing this song, I hadn't seen this one till now, and it's the best of them all.

Buck Ownen is a country music legend and the king of the Bakersfield sound. With the the help of Dwight Yokem, this is as close as two white boys can get to Mexican Norteño. Muy bien hecho. Well done!

Flaco, Buck, and Dwight. Boys and girls, this is what musical genius sounds like.

I'm from Steveston (largest Salmon fishing port in the world) British Columbia, Canada; turned 16 in 1971 and I liked country music. I was an aspiring baseball player and could throw a stone from my hometown and hit south Vancouver. All drugs, violence and rock n roll. Never would I apologise or make excuses for diggin' country music.

Just when you think nothing can compete with the dulcet voice of Dwight, Buck comes through with that unique blast of genuine Bakersfield sound! OMG, it don't get no better than this . . . but they threw in Flacco Jimenez for good measure.
