(Psalm 3:3)” This is an astounding scene, showing that through prayer in faith, we can both rely and depend on the Lord, seeking Him first above anything else and still trusting Him in everything, including confronting or facing fears. God is really using this series, The Chosen, to bring people closer to both Him and His Word!!!

There was so much to the prayer scene. The special part about it for me was when Simon made sure "Z" was going to be okay when he was partnered with Matthew. Then he looked at Matthew and said quietly, "it will be fine". This was from the man who said he would never forgive Matthew. This scene shows how Simon is becoming the rock and how God puts forgiveness in our hearts.

For me, one of the classic lines of the seasons is when Peter confronts the former Zealot and asks him if he can trust him with a former tax collector. What a transformation in Peter! Genuinely, a shepherds heart in Peter is being formed. I just love that moment and I admit, I find my thoughts returning to that moment and that line often. It left a deep impression on me about loving our enemies and overcoming our resentments and outrage and unforgiveness for the love of Jesus. He loves our enemies too!!! What a consuming fire thought. It's not about me. Now I can watch that moment any time I want to here in this clip. Thank you so much for posting
