I just recently started getting into the band, Flying Microtonal Banana was my introduction. I've listened to most of the stuff on KG/LW (haven't gotten around to listening to them front to back yet) and some scattered songs from other albums. Iron Lung fucking rocks, Work This Time is super chill, The Book is weird but cool, O.N.E is probably one of my favorite songs now
I haven't heard any downright unlikeable stuff from them, only a couple of weak songs so far imo. Really impressive band.

Oddments, Gumboot Soup, and Omnium Gatherum are all collections of songs that didn’t make the cut of previous albums, that’s why they sound all over the place. However, this makes them all great albums for first-time listeners because they’re basically King Gizzard variety packs

There’s a ton of pop, jazz, blues, doom in all of those too. If I may go a step further, what other band gives you some hard as fuck thrash or metal and where you would expect the classic metal scream, you get a, Pure gold
