as pretty as the asian rh dolls are, it is annoying when doll companies can't seem to make asian dolls without including stereotyped traditional/cultural outfits or themes. i think it would be better if they included fashion trends in those countries, like any styles within harajuku fashion would be so cute!!

I'm with you on whenever RH tries to do 'alternative' styles they miss (including but not limited to goth, punk, and japanese street fashion). They just seem kind of like trendy top 40 takes on the subgenres, in an appropriative kind of way - as in, by people who did little no research on the alternative fashion they're attempting to go for except maybe some crap article about how some mainstream celebrity is dressing, in heavy quotations, goth today. It doesn't feel like it is respectful or cares about any history around any of it – and there are so few good fashion dolls that do so we're all kind of starved for some authenticity.

While I completely understand why some people don’t like Lyric, when I actually unboxed her, she ended up quickly becoming one of my favorites. I’m also biased because I ended up meeting her VA who was so sweet and signed her doll stand. I was also the one to show her the doll in person and it was just such a magical moment.

Shadow high was essentially the reason why I got into the the doll line. I love the monotone colors and greyscale colors and have Shanelle, Nicole, and Heather so far, and bought Natasha for my grandma (she also likes dolls). I just had never seen a doll line where I liked the face and body mold a lot and the color palette as much as I do for Shadow High. I'm not a huge fan of the rainbow high dolls because they seem like mass produced one skin colored dolls with just different main to me, but now some are growing on me after buying from the SH and Costume ball line!

It’s funny how a lot of fans agree how poorly the RH series one’s outfits have aged, and how dated they are. Even though most of Rainbow High’s fashions are very detailed and big brand designer inspired, fans have also pointed out that they’re not really on trend or in style in terms of current fashion(due to the Y2K trends going on). The outfits are more based on late 2010s fashion, which is not really popular right now. I’m curious, if you want the line to go more in terms of current fashion?

I love how individual these lists are. Neon Shadows and the band girls are my top tier favorites, but even though they're not my aesthetic I can't deny the royal 3 are doll masterpieces! I don't even touch mine outside of unboxing, I don't want to ruin them!

I agree with most you said but Heather Grayson deserved more. Her HAIR. Her JACKET. Her personality. Her, the Storm twins, and Uma have the cutest aesthetic to me personally. Also, I too have always thought the Storm twins names should have been swapped, lol.

Im someone who does have a big interest in alt culture-i honestly think neon shadows did a decent job at trying to represent punk subculture-they remind me abit of my boyfriend who is punk himself
And yeah people are right punk can include furcoats and sequence, its what i appricate about monster high as it didnt make all of its characters look the same fashion wise-you got ghouls like ghoulia whos more scene and draclaura whos more lolita its pretty nice way to show how diverse alt fashion is

I do tho wish they made them black & white, yes punk can include color too but im someone who much prefers the more black & white shadow high dolls, they look more unique from all the rainbow colored dolls yknow?

I recently just bought my first rainbow high dolls when i went to visit america. Ive never been interested in collecting dolls but when i saw meline. oh. my god! i didnt even hesitate to get her...i had no idea there were eurovision themed dolls and i absolutley lost it! U mention she is texan but in my heart she is a european star! I then got aysha shortly after... for same reasons... she is so eurovision essance, both of them! i think there is a pink or rose gold one that is also apart of the trio, but she is not eurovision essance... so she shall not be in my house! love ur videos btw, u are part to thank for for my rainbow high dolls purchase in wallmart!
