Issue with SlingTV on an Android 5.1 TV Box

Having an issue with navigating through the menu of SLingTV android app on an Android TV BOX. The focus (blue box) is not displayed properly. If anyone knows how to fix this, please let me know. I've also emailing Slingtv.

it's because the app thinks it's a phone or tablet with a touch screen to scroll and tap

Simple answer, cheap android box invest your money buy NVIDIA shield box works great

I was recently dealing with the same issue. I followed this guide:
I also had to follow a tip from the post at the bootom of page 3 in that thread about using Luckypatcher to get the Android TV version of Google Play Store installed. One I had the hacked Android TV running I installed Sling TV from The Android TV Play Store and it works perfectly with the remote.
I did this on a Tanix T8 Max which ships with Android 6.0.1. I don't know how well this will work on 5.1 but wanted to let you know of a potential solution.
