The U.S. government is responding to the coronavirus pandemic with a series of measures that invoke a 70 year old Cold War law called the Defense Production Act. The law allows the president to compel companies to make medical supplies and take other measures to stop the spread of the disease. Use of the DPA for protective equipment, virus testing kits, even vaccines, has bipartisan support. Some politicians even say the government isn't using it enough.

At 2:00, "Reports indicate the US has been testing far fewer people than many other countries, even when adjusting for population size." This is journalistic malpractice! "Even when adjusting" sounds like it's worse without adjusting for population when the opposite is true. That graph in population size has the US in 3rd and the next closest is Germany in 19th. The US has 400% the population of Germany. The US has performed more than double the tests of any other country at 3.9 million. The media manipulate data with adjust for population to make our testing look worse, and then use outright numbers of dead when we're doing better than most of Europe when accounting for population size. They hate Trump and will distort good data into bad data just to make people think he's doing a bad job. They truly are fake news. Its not news, its propaganda.

My cousin works for the communist party military logistics, they were elevated to executive level control in terms of coronavirus supply production.

The communist party pretty much controlled the distribution of every supply needed to curb the virus and it has worked.

People are opening business again in China, while the entire world is still trying to figure out what should go where all in favour of egotistic control and squeezing the toothpaste.

I simply do not understand why everyone else acts so slow in the time of emergency. This is something the world should take a page from the communist party.
