I have an aunt that is super deep into these "hacks". Yet at the same time, she puts zero effort into any sort of healthy diet or regular exercise. It boggles my mind, the need for some to have "secret knowledge".

People are obsessed with biohacking because they don’t want to rip the Band-Aid off and accept that the real bio hacks they need are to go to the gym, get better sleep, eat properly, and go outside and talk to people

I could listen to her speak about literally anything, forever.

it's sad because I think as a culture, especially in America death is such a taboo subject. I'm 26 now and I'm starting to learn a lot now that other countries death is looked upon as a beautiful thing a part of life that our soul lives forever but it seems anything that involves money can become a business and people for ever have wanted to live long lives but in reality even at 26 I am starting to come to terms with death, and that it is a beautiful part of life. Heck, even in the south, which gets so much hate in America by the northeast, sometimes they celebrate and accept death more.

barbara ehrenreich, famous author of nickle and dimed, released a book about this topic called natural causes that was both a look at biohacking-type things like this and how harmful they can be juxtaposed against an older woman coming to terms with her inevitable death. it feels like such an effort to live for tomorrow when you're not even living today.

I thought he was going to start talking about CRISPR, cuz that’s what comes to mind when I hear biohacking

I do a lot of these “bio-hacks” because I feel better everyday and are more productive and more relaxed

its not like we have enough Movies, that show why this is a bad Idea. At some Point you have experienced everything you wanted to and then it becomes boring. Plus your loved ones that arent doing this will die before you, wich will take a Toll on your mental Health.

My aunt has done every thing in the book to stay young. She's 60. Her face looks 40 but she's still 60 years old.

Dr Mike, you should read the book ‘lifespan- why we age’ by Dr David Sinclair.

What about inducing artificial savant syndrome, or smart tattoos, brain machine interface?
I like to indulge, in the sort of biohacking, that increases a humans, general capability, not the type that stops aging; i’ve been working on a Safeway, of inducing savant syndrome in an individual, automatic, crisper, sequencing systems, i’ve been working on my biohacking concepts for a pretty long time now, it’s fun, all of my bio-hacking, is currently conceptual, but I hope to make a reality someday; humans actually Cantlay, I’m not the peak of evolution, but next step in revolution, is possibly biotech integration, yes, I want to become a cyborg.

It's funny, my entire "live longer" plan is just to not die. Like at some point I'll just stop aging and as long as i don't get killed, I'll live forever. Got nothing against aging or dying, i just figure I've got as much of a chance of being some kind of medical miracle as being a regular person, and if I just believe I won't die, I'll see what happens. Plus, it's very low stress. Got all the time to do all the things I'll ever want to do, all the time to spend with the people I care about. Biohacking is a scam, but as long as I don't try to charge anyone money for my silly belief, I'm fine with as many people hearing about it as possible. As long as i don't end up looking like that lizard dude who gets blood transfusions from his kid, i think I'll be fine with whatever happens.
