Most of this cover was recorded in 2010, with some additional guitar tracks in 2013, 2020 and a re-recorded bass track in early 2023. The song 'Listen Up' first appeared as a B-side on Oasis' 'Cigarettes and Alcohol' single back in 1994.

I can vividly remember buying cigarettes and alcohol the day it came out and getting home and listening to it and absolutely falling in love with listen up. It’s been 30 years and I still have this song on repeat. It lives rent free in my head. My all time favourite song

This song reminds me of the first time I heard it. I was deeply into Oasis's "Listen Up" when I happened to come across a cover by a YouTuber named The Roundheads. I believe it was around 2017. In Korea, high school seniors take an exam called the "Suneung, " but I didn't get the results I wanted, so I spent an additional year studying at an academy.

At that time, this song gave me a lot of strength. It was unusual for me since I usually prefer the original versions over covers. I used to listen to this cover frequently, but as time passed, with military service and university studies, I left it in a corner of my heart and eventually forgot about it.

Then today, while scrolling through YouTube, I came across the familiar yet bittersweet name The Roundheads, and I was taken back to that time. Even now, the cover is just as wonderful, and it fills a part of me with memories from back then. It also makes me miss my 2017 self, the atmosphere of that time, and the hundreds of academy friends with whom I studied from 7:30 AM to 10:00 PM every day, but now have no way of contacting or knowing their whereabouts. This makes me feel a bit melancholy.

Oasis is still my favorite band, and "Listen Up" remains one of my favorite Oasis songs, but I realize now that I haven’t listened to "Listen Up" much since then. Perhaps it’s because I subconsciously missed that time too much. Thank you. I want to cherish this cover forever, and I love you for creating it. From a boy who has grown from 19 to 26 in Korea.

Honestly blown away. Stumbled upon this by accident. The music, recording and arrangement is better than the original. Vocals are absolutely class too. Noel vibes rather than Liam. Gotta be the best Oasis cover Ive heard. Goosebumps in the lead break. Lets have some originals!

I remember buying Cigarettes & Alcohol on single back in 1994 and hearing the original for the first time. It's my favourite Oasis B-Side ever and just wanted to say this cover is pretty good too.
