Eastern Hokkaido Winter Wildlife & Photography Tour

Stunning scenery and majestic wildlife in Eastern Hokkaido. Asia's frozen far east is rugged and raw, but incredibly beautiful and easily navigated by car. Unique wildlife encounters await, mere footsteps from the road. On our 7-day Winter Wildlife Photography Tours we visit the famous red-crowned cranes in their rookery and photograph pairs of mates dancing at the Tsurui crane sanctuary. Catch the sunrise off the coast, on the edge of the drift ice of Shiretoko National Park, where Steller's sea eagles compete for fish with white-tailed eagles. Foxes scavenge the Notsuke peninsula sand spit, whilst deer are rutting on the snow-covered beaches. Experience Lake Kussharo and its warm sand lakeshore teaming with whooper swans. If we're lucky, we find one of the world's cutest animals, the ezo momonga, a type of dwarf flying squirrel. Eastern Hokkaido is a world-class wildlife destination and a true gem for wildlife enthusiasts, professional and amateur photographers alike. Thank you for watching.
