I was told decades ago, it was only a matter of time before Southern Africa imploded. Their reference was their neighbors Zimbabwe, once an economic success story which by 2020 had annual inflation rate of 737% pa and is a collapsed state after all their profitable private businesses we confiscated. Poverty and social collapse is on another scale.
