Hi guys, i just found this out about the song, The song "Adderall" by Slipknot is about the feelings of powerlessness over something, likely addiction or mental illness. The chorus reveals a state of mind of feeling like one is always on their guard, always trying to be one step ahead of the thing that has a hold on them. This is the essence of the song; the narrator is having difficulty freeing themselves from something that has control over them, whether it is an addiction, mental illness, relationship, or anything else. The lyrics suggest that they are trying to hold on and battle whatever it is, but they are struggling and always feeling like they are one step behind. There is a hint of hope as the bridge suggests that there is still a chance of sliding away from the problem, but only if the narrator can muster enough strength to do so.

I know the concern about getting blocked is very real, but I think it's time to dive into the rest of the album. There's lots of surprises waiting for you, this album is definitely the most divisive album Slipknot has ever released.

Finally some more songs from The End so Far! But yeah Adderall is the first track from that album and I do remember when I first heard it I absolutely hated it, but now I really love it! My personal favorite from this album is "De Sade" and I hope you guys react to it one day

Whatever song & album they put out i don't complain cause i love Slipknot, i said the same thing bout this song i was like huh? Is this slipknot? Am used to the heaviness i was very surprised how soft they went but i do like this song as well & this album,

I explained to a few younger people (I’m 37) this was almost standard even before my time. If you listen to older music or a variety of music you’ll see this isn’t strange, it’s just strange for them to a degree. Mainly blues, 70’s rock etc
