Honda elite dio installing gears

Installing aftermarket gears in your scooter is one of the easiest, and cheapest ways to add speed. This Method applies to your 94-01 honda elite sa50, and the af18/a25/af28 honda dio, with the af18 or af16 engine. There are several different ratios, and not all brands will require the removal of the white washer.

I have an 1990 elite 50 af05e and I’m changing gears and the large one has two clips on either side of the gear? Is this just how it is from stock.
Plus the small gear didn’t just drop out like yours did, do I just use a press for that one also??

My dio sr topped out at 75mph with 7:1 gears. My other bike 89 pal with 8:1 gears not as fast

Hello i think these gears are same in Yamaha jog 50cc 2T horizontal engine. Can I use it yours gears guys for dio for my Yamaha? :)

I have some 9:1 gears lying around. They’re 15/42s, would they work in my stock Elite 50?

Can save the money on a press by hitting up any auto garage. In my experience these dudes will simply punch it out and punch it in for free.

However, this is entirely dependent on how busy the shop is. Don’t roll in a garage expecting free service. I’d wager the most you’d pay to have the gear done is $20.

With that said, be super polite and if you get told no then move onto the next.
