I remember Matt Braly has mentioned one thing he's sad about is how he wasn't able to keep the same grimy, dark fantasy aesthetic to Amphibia as a world. Disney demanded it be more whimsical and inviting but this pilot always made me think that a more "low to the ground" and lived-in world would've been really fun.

In the original plot, Grime was Anne's arch-nemesis. Fascinating.

It’s the 2015ish pop music that gets me. Really makes the atmosphere. I have a very specific memory of that song in particular. Vividly remember walking through the county fairgrounds as the sun was going down and all the colored lights and the tiltawhirl had the radio playing and it was that song. My teenage brain just went woah lol.

Even though this looks ridiculous I will admit it does look really good, it’s amazing that the final product was so much better and is arguably one of the best shows I’ve ever watched

but in Spain 'Amphibia' was translated into 'Anfibilandia'

Damn Polly was never in the pilot. That’s a scary thought. It’s funny seeing that things that were in the pilot and then change in the final product.
