Tales of Arise Glitch - Get Late Game Armor While in Tutorial

In this video I will show you how to glitch into a level 40 area while still in the tutorial. Inside this area you can get some very op armor for Shionne during the early game.

This glitch is framerate tied so having higher fps makes it easier to hit the steps I jump off in the video.
This glitch has been confirmed to work on PC & PS5, while it can be done on PS5 it's difficulty is extremely high due to the lower framerate.

- For PS5 & Series X players try running the game in it's 60 fps mode as this should make the glitch possible.
- PC players can reduce the render resolution to 50% in order to make the glitch much easier.

Thanks for the post!! I love that a wall glitch like this has already been discovered. Nice work.

Extra Notes: Further areas can be reached with this glitch if you come back later with Dohalim and use his regrowth on the vines which includes some armor for Kisara.

Can confirm still works on PC. Set all graphics to low, v sync off and had set 144 FPS. (Also, you are immune to death/damage if HP has yet to be introduced. Can PAINFULLY defeat the monsters in the room or just simply flee to clear and get loot)

As of Dec 1 2021, I still got this at Level 12. It took me 1 hour to master this and tried various setting as you’ve stated on the description. I used keyboard and it did took me a heck of an hour of jumping. Thanks! it paid off!

I'm trying to do the glitch but I don't understand when to do the second jump, is it when the character jumps a bit higher than usual or does he land by chance on an invisible platform like in the video ?

Since you said it may be a frame rate thing, I tried disabling Vsync and setting the frame rate cap to no restriction, instantly started to see results of the character trying to 'stick' to the wall with jumps, didn't take much time or effort to get the positioning just right to get over the wall from there.

took me over 3 hours.... 3 hours later i read the comments about turning off vsync.. after turning off vsync. i managed to jump over in 20 mins, and i didnt even have to run jump. just glitch jump on that corner and managed to do it... lol, anyway Thanks!

Can confirm this still works on PC as of 1/15/22. I had to change all graphics settings to low and unlimited fps cap, and vsync off for it to work and it still took me like 3-4 hours total.

Worked for me. Thanks for the video, dude!

Have you tested how much sequence breaking (if any) is possible by doing this? Other than obviously getting good armor early.

Done it, on low graphics, max FPS
V Sync Off
Doesnt need any pre-run up to the edge, you can just lodge yourself at the edge along the end beam. Run at the beam, jump up, then spam jump once you feel you are starting to slide down the beam, . Takes a few tries

Based on how the combat system works, you don’t need to flee. You can get KO’d and return to the field at 1 HP probably and the enemies will take a few seconds to respawn.

I honestly believe that this is a PC only glitch because I'm on PS4 and I've been able to do multiple consecutive super jumps in that same spot that made me jump twice as high as you did in that corner and not once did I hit any ledge on the way back down. There is an invisible ledge that you can hit your head on on console but you just can't land on that ledge on the way back down. To do the super jumps just run into that corner and spam the jump button while slowly tilting the analog stick ever so slightly at the same time and eventually you jump twice as high. Or you can get frame perfect sprint jumps and can do the super jump without having to spam the jump button. If it is possible on console then doing these super jumps might be a decent shot at actually pulling it off by giving you more time to fall and try to find that right spot. If the mobility in the air while sprint jumping wasn't limited to one direction before you land on your feet again, this glitch would be much easier to pull off. If anyone who is on PS4/5 is able to pull of this glitch, please do share before this glitch gets patched. It would be greatly appreciated:)

i have hit hidden steps >hundreds< of times now, and not once has the character ever jumped a second time from the steps. he just displays a falling animation after hitting the step.

Well, seems a lot more consistent trying to do this with Shionne, atleast for me.

does it work on Ps4 version???? And does it matter what version of the game u have??

You must specify on which platform you are. It doesn't work on Xbox X or PS5

Wow, that's an impressive glitch

Pretty sure this is patched now. No matter what settings I put on my PC I didn't even get close. There was no catch at all when jumping in the corner. Unfortunate

I am guessing this only works while you are in tutorial or when you havent reaches the 2nd part of the game? I tried on PC and I can't
