What I wouldn't give to go back to 1985 for a weekend...

I've always been a metalhead but DD was a band I really liked that I couldn't admit out loud. I'm old now so I'll say it unapologetically now.

Love or hate them, no other band sounds anything like Duran. Totally unique pop band.

Andy is a great guitarist...I met the whole band once in business in about 1985 and he was the only one with good manners, ...I will never forget that.

I was 15 years old, I watched live aid all day long waiting for Duran Duran! It was worth it! I also got to see so many other amazing performances including U2 and Queen! What a time to be alive and what an amazing time for music! I'm so lucky to have experienced the 80's and 90's!

Wow, John Taylor's bass really was a driving force to Duran Duran, accompanied by Nick's soaring magical keyboard notes. Of course Andy and Roger were awesome in their own right, but that bass! What would their songs be without that bass?!

Often overlooked is the respectable level of musicianship behind the good looks and trendsetting fashion style, funky beats and shallow lyrics.
Andy Taylor is a really good guitar player in his own way.

These guys were way ahead of their time musically. Their songwriting is absolutely brilliant. I agree that they should be in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
