Awards Ceremony - 2012 LACF High School Marching Band Competition

This video announces the 3rd, 2nd, and 1st place winners of the 2012 Los Angeles County Fair Marching Band Competition Finals held on Friday, September 28th 2012.

2008 Winner: Glendora High School (2010 Rose Parade)
2009 Winner: Upland High School (2011 Rose Parade)
2010 Winner: Arcadia High School (2012 Rose Parade)
2011 Winner: Santiago High School (2013 Rose Parade)
2012 Winner: Glendora High School (2014 Rose Parade)

Glendora High School Tartan Band & Pageantry won the 2012 competition with a cash prize of $5000 and secured a spot in the 2014 Pasadena Tournament of Roses Parade.

Chino High School 77th Cavalry came in 2nd place and was awarded a cash prize of $3000.

Riverside King High School Kingsmen Band & Color Guard came in 3rd place and was awarded a cash prize of $2000.

All three of these groups performed exceptionally well, having put on great shows for all of us to enjoy. Congratulations to ALL THREE performing groups. To be in the top 3 out of 30-plus competing bands is something to be very proud of. Congratulations once again!

Glendora’s drum major…he sure knows how to get that mace in the air! Outstanding job! Also, it seems fitting that “Scotland the Brave” is Glendora’s fight song.

Hmm... I'm gonna say right now, I doubt anyone in my band didn't keep a straight face once they said Chino was in 2nd...I know my mouth dropped when they said we were 1st...
But I have to say, I am quite honored to have competed against Chino, espeically with their good sporstmanship
