Joe was cared for at St Claire’s Hospital in Baraboo after his accident on Fathers Day. A beautiful image welcomes everyone at the entrance of St Claire with the Holy Eucharist in her hands. She helped to heal Joe as I prayed to her everyday since he was in her hospital. Nothing is worth abandoning our love of Christ. Our culture offers us so many temptations that can distract our focus from Christ. I feel your presence in the Holy Land was a gift to the whole parish. Also thinking you blessed our Phillies with some awesome game wins by wearing that hat! Last nights game of a no hitter with a brand new pitcher, Michael Lorenzen, the veteran right-handed pitcher acquired by Dave Dombrowski at the trade deadline from the Detroit Tigers, threw the 14th no-hitter in franchise history. It was also just the second no-hitter ever thrown at Citizens Bank Park, the only other being Roy Halladay’s legendary no-hitter in Game 1 of the 2010 NLDS against the Reds. Rookie left fielder, Weston Wilson came up from the minors in his MLB debut, hitting a home run in his first ever at bat in the big leagues, with his family in attendance watching. My cousin, John Brennan was at both of those games with his son for these historic games!
