Siim Kallas the EU Commissioner for Transport has unveiled Europe's comprehensive strategy "Transport 2050" for a competitive transport system that will increase mobility, remove major barriers in key areas and fuel growth and employment. At the same time, the proposals will dramatically reduce Europe's dependence on imported oil and cut carbon emissions in transport by 60% by 2050.

@leostomicek Because they have to. The EU Nations ar of Social construct, sow they take care of there citizens and not let big companies and corporations rule over them. There intervention will create a better society with a more stable economy that does not depend on a risky fuel like oil.

Siim Kaalas Minister of finance in the Soviet Republic of Estonia 195-1979. Soviet Communist party member for 18 years. Now it is in the European Parliament, a friend of President Bush, before he was a friend of Leonid Brezhnev the president of soviet union!!

you compare the situation of the eu with others and judge the outcome.
