Why’s everyone complaining that he’s telling people to go see their doctor? He doesn’t know their medical history and people are asking single sentence questions. If they go to their doctor and ask face to face, then they can get insight that’s better for their problem.

Kid: "Mom, can I have a piece of GUM?"
Mom: "Here you go."
Kid 2 mins later: "Mom, can I have another?"
Mom: "What happened to the last one?"
Kid: "I swallowed it"
Mom who is sick of giving kid gum: "Bad things happen to those who swallow gum"
Myth Born

Hey Mike. My aunt Diane was having a heart attack in an elevator and a guy knew CPR and performed it on her until the paramedics arrived, so whenever you talk about doing proper chest compressions, I think about that. She survived but they said if he had not done that, she probably would not have survived. Keep up the good work.

Is it just me or is it a thing that all doctors have cold hands

As a teenager I swallowed gum at the dentist, and the dentist and their assistant were really shocked! I had to tell them it was an urban legend.🤦‍♀️

I sometimes get sharp abdominal pains around ovulation or the week before my period. I did have an ultrasound for this reason, and everything was fine. Over the years I've figured out that the pain is caused by muscle tension in my core. The problem goes away with careful stretching after exercising during these stages of my cycle.

Yes I would absolutely love a video series where you test and give recommendations about certain medical procedures

For some hyperhidosis symptoms I would recommend SweatBlock wipes or creams. I also had good luck with Carpe Max. Both can work well on palms and forehead sweat without leaving white residue. But don’t forget to check for other possible causes issues like high blood pressure, hormone levels, thyroid function… in my case I lived with it throughout my late-20s and 30s until many issues were linked to a general anxiety disorder and got a very mild SSRI.

As my CPR instructor said: don’t be afraid to do CPR. If the patient needs it, they’re already dead, so it’s not like you can make them any deader.

CPR words of wisdom from the Police Acadamy.

"If someone's heart has stopped and they aren't breathing, what are they? They're dead. Can't make them any worse than dead. Start chest compressions."

Little warning about being a ticklish patient: you absolutely can have a serious condition and still be extremely tickling. I had an ovarian cyst the size of a softball to rupture and when the ER docs kept pressing on my belly, I would break into laughs. They thought nothing serious was wrong with me since I was squirming and laughing so much... until they did a scan and saw just how much fluid had filled my lower abdomen. Thing is, I was also at a pain level of 10 (literally the worst pain of my life, and I have fibromyalgia so I KNOW PAIN) and I had even passed out from the agony earlier, before my mother called 911. I'm just seriously ticklish, and because I'm constantly in pain, I don't always outwardly show that I'm in pain. (Hiding my fibro pain is second nature, and this makes convincing doctors that I'm suffering a challenge.)

I think the “gum stays in your system for 7 years” myth is just something Mums tell their kids so they don’t swallow a bunch of gum.

The urban legend creator of gum staying in your stomach for 7 years, was everyone's mom.
