Does Processed Sugar Fuel Cancer Growth?

Показать описание
A new study indicates that consuming too much processed sugar is a major risk factor for certain types of cancers, especially breast cancer.
What is sugar?
Anything that ends with ‘ose’ – glucose, sucrose & fructose is considered to be sugar.
Why is sugar similar to a drug?
Dopamine levels in our bodies go up as a result of too much sugar consumption & effects the reward centers in the brain. The body builds a tolerance level to sugar resulting in increased sugar cravings than before.
When sugar is consumed, the pancreas responds by sending insulin pushing the sugar into the cells. Cancer cells also have insulin growth factors which the new study indicates can lead to colon cancer & breast cancer.
Dr. David Samadi states that another factor to consider is the liver becoming overloaded with fructose leading to a fatty liver with LDL levels going up.
However, Dr. David Samadi explains that our bodies need sugar to survive. He states that it cannot be stated that sugar causes cancer but there is a strong association between consuming too much sugar & cancer risk.
In the video, Dr. David Samadi & Dr. Marc Siegel also explains what a good diet is, what tests can be performed to understand the risks & preventative measures.
