bribe or gratuity, it is unethical. Supreme Court Judges should never be receiving "gratuities" for doing their job.

Justice is not equal for all, the U.S. supreme court is officially for sale.

The Supreme Court needs some checks and balances. They need to be able to be sued too.they are not protecting or fighting for the American Public.

So, the lobbyist parks the luxury motorhome in front of Thomas' house before the court decision, but they don't hand over the keys until after the vote on their case?,

If a judge might reasonably anticipate receiving said gratuity then that still taints the decision.

i love that the standards for judges went from "the appearance of impropriety" to "you know you can just leave the money on the counter"

When money is allowed to speak louder than people, we have a democracy in crisis.

The worst part about the Supreme Court is how powerless we are to do anything about it.

Absolutely insane reasoning. They just admit they’re in it for the money.

On a writing discussion: AI keep saying it can write my novel and paint my masterpiece. What I really want is someone to do my dishes and clean my laundry while I write my novel or paint.

Why are the leaders and policy makers allowed to be tipped.

But the guy that loads groceries in the back of the car will get fired for excepting tips

As a letter carrier, I was not allowed to accept gifts. I did not count the glasses of iced water left in mailboxes in GA summers. Be kind to your delivery person.

sounds like the supreme court thinks (bribes) tips aren't a bad

For elected officials, "gratuities" should be just as illegal as bribes. It amounts to the same thing.

the gratuity ruling is wild. How does the court even have the 15% approval rating they have? Who are these people that still support them. Bleak.

I was REALLY hoping Boebert wouldn't win her primary. Whoever wins that primary wins the seat, and its not like the voters had a lack of crazy. The whole field was crazy, just a different crazy and I feel this crazy has gone a bit stale.

Wow those judges are really taking a chance. What guarantees are there that the crooks will pay up if they get what they want first, that's no way to run a grift

But without the "gratuities" how are these poor judges supposed to afford luxury cars, dream vacations and tour busses on a measly salary of $278, 000 a year?🤣🤣🤣
