Love how the story never bothered to detail the defect of the bike. Great journalism

It's not about the money, right. That's all you talked about. You never even said what the defect was. Did your reporters make it clean through the sixth grade?

This hasn't been a great week for Harley. Their booth at Sturgis was completely empty.

What a worthless news clip. What failed on the trike that caused this accident? Have the media ever heard that old "who, what, when, where, why, and how" motto? Had to go elsewhere to discover that it was allegedly a "traction control" problem.

The smear lawyer is happy to fill his own pockets😂😂😂 thats what its all about!

Allegedly the traction control system locked up the brakes.

One of the trikes rear brakes locked up due to a malfunctioning 'Trike Traction Control System.' Of course harley denied this even though there was an active recall for this issue, and an on going list of other 'trike traction control system' related 'accidents'.

It's interesting 3 wheelers are still legal here. 3 wheel ATVs were banned in the USA back in in the 1980's due to all the injuries and deaths, how did these get a pass?

Lawyers are needed but most ambulance chasers are scum buckets

this is an award. now it will go to mediation and in 5 to ten years both sides will settle for something between that and 0. Been there.

Harley Davidson used to be a great motor cycle, but now there nothing more than over priced junk, with parts made in China, Mexico, and other places wouldn't shed a tear if they went out of business

From another source:
The initial verdict came down last Wednesday, finding that the company had a defective traction-control system that resulted in the 2020 death of Harold Morris’ longtime companion Pamela Sinclair.
The system’s software malfunctioned, causing 75-year-old Morris to lose control of the three-wheeled vehicle and go off the highway. He was seriously injured while 63-year old Sinclair, his passenger, died from her injuries.
You're welcome.

I don't know if "DEAD wrong" was a good choice of words.

They will never pay out that number . they will appeal and offer a much lower amount ..

Harley never did a recall on the cam chain tensioners on the twin cam models. And they knew they were faulty.

Harley denied that there was a traction control system issue AFTER they had already issued a recall to fix the issue... In other words, HD bold-faced lied... 💥

Will the survivors get any money after the lawyers are paid? They get paid first, right?

SORRY it happened to that family BUT 240mil……no way 🤔🤔🤔

Appeal it. Pay the family $1m. Recall and inspect every trike. That’s the best they can do. The lawyer can go take a hike with the massive $ request.

The problem is Harley knew about the problem and I bought a 2022 tri glide and they did not tell me about the problem and the problem still exists then these big corporations will try and get away with whatever they can and it’s good to see the jury did there job and I feel bad for the family and there loss and there actions have caused a lot more accidents
