The punch of salt in the Petit Beurre or in the Roudor is related to the French butter sometimes being made with salt in it. It's quite a debate between French people, about wether the butter should be salted or not... But cooking a sweet pastry with salted butter is AMAZING. I'm French, and I'm on the salted butter side, obviously :3

The dark chocolate Mikado were among my favorite sweets as a kid. I was eating them every time when we were driving to my grandparents. Aw... memories.

About "Le Petit Beurre", I'm French and French people usually don't dunk it into tea but more into hot chocolate. You can also try by doing this : you take a mug, you pour half of it with milk and Nesquick (or other chocolate powder), then 1-2 minute(s) on the microwave (it has too be hot enough). You break your "Petits-Beurres" into four parts and you put it in the hot chocolate until it looks like a kind of porridge (a little bit more liquide though). Then you can eat it . We call that "une bouillie" and it's delicious !!
