Poor Cedric...he wanted Harry to take the cup for saving him before Harry insisted they do it together, he actually seemed really impressed when the cup turned out to be a portkey, & and was legit worried when Harry's scar started hurting him.😔

Only to get unintentionally caught in Voldemort's trap and thus killed for being "the spare." Ugh, his death was part of the reason I couldn't stand re-watching Goblet of Fire as a kid because it was so sad & scary.

Cedric was literally EVERYTHING. he was smart, brave, cute, very attractive, loyal, kind, friendly, strong, humble... They had to kill him, unless everyone would prefer him over every other character at the end.. Just think about how many people got so connected to him after only one book, or only two minutes of screen time, he's one of my personal favorite characters in the whole series so..
